Teaching Assistants with Care Background Needed – SEMH Schools
Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term / Full-time
Pay: £95 to £105 (Experiance Dependant)
Axcis Education is currently recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants with a care background to work in SEMH specialist schools in the Stockport area. These settings are purpose-built to support students with social, emotional and mental health needs, as well as complex learning difficulties.
This is a long-term opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a real difference and supporting vulnerable young people to thrive.
The Role:
• Supporting pupils with SEMH and complex additional needs
• Working with students aged Primary through to College
• Providing personal care where required
• Supporting behaviour regulation, emotional wellbeing and engagement in learning
• Working closely with teachers and multi-disciplinary teams
• Building strong, consistent relationships with students
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a care, support, or SEN setting (essential)
• Confidence supporting challenging behaviour and emotional needs
• Willingness to carry out personal care
