Are you passionate about supporting young people in their learning journey? Whether you're experienced or just starting out in education, Axcis Education is recruiting dedicated teaching assistants to work in mainstream primary and secondary schools, as well as specialist SEN provisions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in the classroom while gaining valuable experience in education.
About the Role
As a teaching assistant, you’ll support teachers and students in delivering a positive and inclusive learning environment. You may be working 1:1 with pupils or supporting small groups, particularly those with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD or other SEN.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils’ learning and emotional wellbeing
- Assisting with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Helping to manage behaviour and encourage engagement
- Preparing classroom resources and offering administrative support
- Promoting a safe, structured and supportive atmosphere for all learners
What We’re Looking For
- A calm, reliable and supportive approach to working with children and young people
- Interest or experience in supporting children with SEN, including autism and ADHD
- Adaptability and confidence working across different key stages or year groups
- A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Previous school experience is welcome, but not essential – full training can be provided
