We’re recruiting a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support post-16 students with autism and learning disabilities within a welcoming and inclusive further education setting in Bath.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role would suit graduates, support workers, youth workers, sports coaches or anyone passionate about supporting young people with SEND. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting individuals with additional needs is beneficial, but not essential. We’re primarily looking for someone who is patient, reliable, positive and eager to make a meaningful impact.
The Role
• Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am–3:30pm)
• £14.30 per hour
• September start
• Opportunity to become permanent following a 16-week settling-in period
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support students during lessons and practical activities
• Help learners develop confidence, communication and independence
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
• Encourage positive engagement both academically and socially
• Work closely with teaching staff and the wider support team to meet individual student needs
