Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant – Business, Art & Vocational Pathways
Location: Bexley, South East London
Hours: Monday to Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm
Full-Time | September Start
A welcoming and inclusive mainstream college in Bexley is seeking confident and experienced SEND Learning Support Assistants to support students with additional needs across a variety of vocational pathways. We are particularly interested in LSAs with a background or interest in Business, Art, Construction, or similar creative/practical subjects.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive setting and work with young people with diverse SEND needs including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide in-class support for students with in Business, Art, or other vocational sessions
• Support the delivery of creative and practical lessons, helping students remain focused and engaged
• Promote independence, self-confidence, and emotional regulation
• Assist in tracking progress and working closely with tutors to ensure learning needs are met
• Contribute to an inclusive, structured, and supportive classroom culture
Requirements:
• Previous classroom experience in secondary or college settings (essential)
• A confident and proactive attitude – able to adapt and support a range of needs
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Interest or experience in Business or Art subjects is highly desirable
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
