Axcis are working with a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Havering who are seeking a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher to join their team from September. About the Role
You will be teaching a small class of primary-aged pupils with SEND, supported by a team of experienced Teaching Assistants. The role will involve planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons that are practical, engaging and tailored to pupils’ individual learning needs.
You will:
• Plan and deliver creative, accessible lessons for pupils with a range of SEND needs
• Support children with autism, communication needs and sensory processing differences
• Use visual supports, structured routines and practical learning opportunities
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants to ensure consistency across the classroom
• Contribute to EHCP targets, progress tracking and review meetings
What We’re Looking For
• QTS / QTLS, or strong teaching experience within SEND
• Experience teaching pupils with autism or complex learning needs
• Strong behaviour management and excellent classroom structure
• Ability to differentiate lessons creatively and effectively
• A calm, patient and reflective teaching style
