About the Role
The school is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join their specialist team. You will be responsible for planning and delivering personalised, high-quality teaching to pupils with complex needs, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEND and complex medical needs.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, healthcare professionals, and support staff.
Implement and review individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages independence and confidence.
Communicate regularly with parents/carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing.
About You
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE (minimum) is essential.
Experience teaching pupils with SEND, complex medical needs, or physical disabilities.
Strong understanding of personalised learning approaches and SEND frameworks.
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
