About the Role:
You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative English department, teaching across KS3 and KS4. The school places a strong focus on inclusive teaching, and the ability to differentiate, scaffold, and use effective behaviour management strategies will be key to your success.
You'll have the chance to work closely with SEND staff and may support pupils with additional needs such as ADHD, ASD or visual impairments (VI). Prior experience supporting learners with additional needs is a bonus, but not essential.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
- Experience teaching English in a secondary school (placements included)
- Strong classroom presence and the ability to manage behaviour effectively
- A good understanding of scaffolding and adapting lessons to different learning needs
- A team-player mindset and willingness to collaborate with colleagues
- Openness to training and attending CPD opportunities
