The successful candidate will offer 1:1 assistance to a pupil with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ensuring they receive the highest level of education and care.

**Job Description**:
As a Teaching Assistant in our school, you will play a fundamental role in supporting the learning and personal growth of our student. The role will involve close collaboration with the classroom teacher, SENCO, and other support staff to create an enabling learning environment tailored to the student's emotional and educational requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Ukrainian-speaking pupil with SEMH needs, helping to facilitate their academic and social development.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons and activities that cater to the student's individual learning style and emotional needs.
- Utilize your Ukrainian language skills to communicate effectively with the pupil, offering a bridge between their first language and the English curriculum.
- Monitor and record the student's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents to help shape ongoing support strategies.
- Employ positive behaviour management techniques to encourage engagement, participation, and appropriate classroom conduct.
- Participate in meetings and professional development related to SEN provision and the well-being of the student under your care.
- Contribute to a supportive and inclusive school culture, where respect and understanding are paramount.

**Requirements**:
- Fluency in Ukrainian and English.
- Relevant experience or qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs or a strong desire to work within this area.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- A compassionate nature with the resilience to face the challenges of working with pupils with additional needs.
