Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Start date: September 2025
Location: Tameside, Greater Manchester
Axcis Education is proud to be partnering with a variety of Primary and Secondary schools across Tameside, offering vital support to pupils in both mainstream and specialist SEND settings. As demand continues to grow, we’re looking to recruit a team of compassionate, flexible and proactive Teaching Assistants to take on rewarding roles within the classroom.
We’re keen to hear from individuals who:
- Have experience working with children or young people – whether in schools, youth work, care settings or the wider community
- Hold relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning, Health & Social Care, Psychology, Education, etc.)
- Are enthusiastic, dependable and genuinely passionate about helping every learner thrive
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting students in lessons, either in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
- Assisting with emotional and behavioural regulation when needed
- Helping create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to adapt learning to individual needs
- Promoting independence, engagement and confidence in every child
