SEND Teacher needed
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs? We are currently recruiting qualified Teachers to join a complex SEND school in Chelmsford, supporting pupils with a range of needs across different age groups.
About the School:
- A well-established SEND school based in Chelmsford
- Supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Highly supportive, inclusive, and nurturing environment
This is a Monday to Friday role, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, within a well-resourced and supportive special school environment catering to pupils aged 4 to 19 years.
About the Role:
- Teach and support small classes of up to 12–13 pupils
- Work with students with a range of complex needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
- Other complex learning difficulties
- Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive, and flexible learning environment
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of teaching assistants and support staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- A flexible, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A commitment to supporting each pupil’s individual learning journey
