Job Title: SEND Electrical Learning Support Assistant
Location: Bromley, South London
Hours: Monday to Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025
A well-regarded mainstream college in Bromley is seeking a committed SEND Learning Support Assistant to support students with additional needs who are studying towards an Electrical qualification. This is an exciting opportunity to help young people thrive in a vocational setting by providing tailored, one-to-one and small group support throughout their course.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide in-class and practical workshop support to students with SEND (including ASD, ADHD, and mild learning difficulties)
• Assist students in understanding electrical concepts and tasks as guided by the course instructor
• Promote independence, engagement, and confidence in both academic and hands-on learning environments
• Encourage a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Experience supporting learners with SEND in a further education or vocational setting
• Confidence in a practical, workshop-based environment
• A calm, patient, and proactive approach to learning support
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• An enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
Desirable:
• Background or knowledge in electrical trades or technical education
• Experience in a college or post-16 setting
