Position: SEN Teacher
Location: Waltham Forest
Hours: Full-time, 5 days a week, for the entire academic year (8:30 am – 4 pm)
Start date: ASAP
Pay: To Scale
Your responsibilities will include:
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual learning styles and needs.
• Implementing effective strategies to support students with Autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
• Adapting teaching materials and methods to accommodate sensory learners, ensuring an inclusive and accessible learning environment.
• Collaborating with the wider school community, including parents, support staff, and fellow teachers, to create personalized learning plans and foster a collaborative approach to education.
• Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements:
To be considered for this rewarding position, we are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:
• Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
• Experience working with students on the Autism spectrum, possessing a strong understanding of their unique needs and effective teaching strategies.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting sensory learners and implementing sensory-friendly practices.
• A passion for inclusive education, with the ability to foster a supportive and respectful classroom environment.
