SEN Teacher – SEND
Location: Uxbridge, London
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our supportive and inclusive school in the heart of Uxbridge, London. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with a range of special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess individualised lessons tailored to each student’s needs and abilities
Create a nurturing, inclusive, and accessible classroom environment
Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external agencies to develop personalised learning plans
Use a variety of teaching strategies and assistive technologies to engage and inspire students
Monitor and record student progress, adapting approaches to meet diverse learning needs
Participate in school-wide training and professional development focused on SEND best practices
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in SEN settings
Strong knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A caring, patient, and proactive approach to managing challenging behaviour positively
