Axcis is working with an amazing special school in the Solihull area who specialise in supporting children and young people with Complex Autism, the school caters to individuals aged 4 to 19 years, tailoring their provision to each individual’s needs. The school requires teachers for day to day absence cover across the primary and secondary departments.

The school is looking for qualified and/or unqualified teachers (relatable level 4 or 5 qualifications accepted) who have previous SEND experience, preferably as a teacher within a SEND school or resource hub.

This Autism specific school is based within the Solihull area and whilst car parking can be limited, the school has great public transport links, perfect for individuals looking to do their bit for the environment. Whilst this will be a challenging role the reward from seeing the individuals in your class engage and participate will be phenomenal it really is an amazing opportunity to make a massive impact on the lives and learning of children with complex needs.

Job details:
• Cover teacher in an ASD-specific SEND school
• Working independently and as part of a team
• Full time hours (8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday)
• Start date - ASAP / September 2025

Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) OR relatable Level 4 or 5 qualification – Essential
• Experience of working with pupils with Complex Autism – Essential
• Experience of working with individuals whom display challenging behaviour – Essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required or we’re happy to carry out a new one ahead of you starting the position – Essential
• Minimum of 2 good references – Essential
