SEND Teaching Assistant – ASC Support (KS1) – Bedworth Area
Location: Bedworth, Warwickshire
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
Axcis Education is seeking a calm and consistent SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child in KS1 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The pupil has sensory processing needs and requires a predictable, nurturing approach to thrive in their learning environment.
The Role:
You will:
• Provide 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with ASC and communication needs
• Implement visual timetables, now/next boards and sensory tools
• Work collaboratively with the SENCO and class teacher to support EHCP targets
• Support emotional regulation and create a calm, structured learning environment
About You:
• Experience supporting children with autism in a school or care setting
• Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or visual supports
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Available full-time and committed to long-term support
