SEND Teaching Assistant – Complex Needs Unit (Aston, Birmingham)

Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week

Axcis Education is recruiting a TA to support pupils with a range of complex needs in a primary SEND unit.

The Role:

• Support children with SLD, developmental delay and additional medical needs
• Deliver sensory, communication and life-skills sessions
• Follow therapy-led strategies including physical, speech and occupational programmes
• Support personal care, mobility assistance and sensory regulation
• Build strong relationships with pupils and families

About You:

• Experience supporting complex SEND pupils (school or care background)
• Compassionate, consistent and able to follow specialist guidance
• Knowledge of communication tools (PECS, Makaton) desirable
• Team-focused and child-centred
