SEND Teaching Assistant – SEMH & Behaviour Support – Nuneaton
Location: Nuneaton
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
Axcis Education is recruiting for a resilient and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour in a Nuneaton primary school. This role is well-suited to someone confident in managing behaviour and providing nurturing support.
The Role:
You will:
• Work 1:1 with pupils with SEMH and behavioural difficulties.
• Provide consistency, routine, and positive reinforcement.
• Implement strategies to support regulation and reduce behavioural incidents.
• Build strong relationships as a positive and supportive role model.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to deliver support.
About You:
• Experience working with SEMH or behaviour challenges in schools or alternative provisions.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• Resilient, calm, and compassionate in challenging situations.
• Ability to create a safe and structured environment.
