SEND Teaching Assistant – Speech & Language Support – Nuneaton
Location: Nuneaton, Warwickshire
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child in Nuneaton with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). The pupil requires support to develop expressive language, comprehension, and confidence in class.
The Role:
You will:
• Provide 1:1 language and communication support.
• Implement SALT strategies under guidance from therapists.
• Use visual timetables, communication boards and scaffolding.
• Encourage participation in class and social activities.
• Track and report progress towards targets.
About You:
• Experience supporting children with SLCN, ASC, or developmental delay.
• Good communication and patience.
• Familiarity with PECS, Makaton or similar (desirable).
• Committed to inclusive practice.
