Description
Axcis Education are working closely to support an alternative provision based on the outskirts of Torbay, who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The students mostly have Autism and ADHD, and may be have Social, Emotional and/or Mental Health needs (SEMH).
Key information
Pay: £100-£115 a day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 3.30pm
Start date: ASAP or after Easter.
About the role
You will be helping pupils to access the learning on a 1;1 basis, supporting at the school centre and on outreach (working with the student in a public space on a 1:1 basis).Your role is to help build confidence and tailored academic support. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include supporting small groups and individual pupils with SEMH, assisting with classroom activities, supporting wit learning on a 1:1 basis, promoting positive behaviour and contributing to a calm, nurturing learning environment.
