SEND Teaching Assistant – Vision & Physical Needs Support – Coventry
Location: Coventry
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
Axcis Education is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with physical disabilities and vision impairments in Coventry. This role is varied and rewarding, with a strong focus on independence and access to learning.
The Role:
You will:
• Support pupils with visual impairments, mobility needs, and complex medical conditions.
• Provide adapted resources, scribing or note-taking where needed.
• Assist with mobility and transitions around school.
• Support teachers to differentiate lessons and make learning accessible.
• Encourage independence, self-advocacy and confidence.
About You:
• Experience supporting children with physical disabilities, medical needs, or VI.
• Patient, adaptable, and proactive in problem-solving.
• Comfortable providing mobility or care support (training provided if required).
• Team player, able to work with therapists and medical professionals.
