Teaching Assistant – Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Location: Wimbledon, Southwest London
Hours: Full-time | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Salary: £89 – £105 per day
Contract: Long-term | Start Date: September 2025

A well-regarded specialist day and residential school in Wimbledon is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 2–19 with Vision Impairment, Hearing Impairment, and Multi-Sensory Impairments. This is a full-time position starting in September 2025.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the individual needs of students through inclusive, sensory-based learning.
You will:
– Provide in-class support and one-to-one assistance as required
– Help deliver personalised learning plans and communication strategies
– Collaborate with teachers and therapy staff to meet students' academic and developmental goals
– Foster independence, social interaction, and self-confidence
– Contribute to a calm, safe, and nurturing learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
– A genuine interest in supporting young people with special educational needs
– Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude
– Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
– Willingness to learn and apply sensory-led and specialist teaching techniques
– Prior SEN experience is a plus, but not essential
