A leading offshore law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its Corporate Finance team in Jersey. This senior-level opportunity would suit a high-calibre lawyer from a top-tier firm who can manage complex matters, develop strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage matters from initial scoping and cost estimation through to completion
• Deliver work to a high standard with minimal partner input beyond key issues and formal sign-off
• Act as the principal day-to-day contact for clients while keeping supervising partners informed
• Manage matter budgets, deadlines, billing and recovery
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients
• Delegate work effectively and supervise junior lawyers and assistants
• Support the professional development and performance of junior team members
• Contribute significantly to business development, networking and profile-raising activities
• Help develop internal know-how, systems and resources to improve efficiency
Skills and Experience
• Commonwealth-qualified lawyer
• At least four years’ post-qualification experience
• Strong corporate finance or banking experience gained within a top-tier law firm
• Excellent academic credentials
• Proven ability to manage complex matters and client relationships
• Strong people-management and supervisory skills
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commercial and financial awareness
• Confidence in business development and professional networking
• A collaborative and team-focused approach
