Description

An established, family-owned fiduciary and fund administration business is seeking a Senior Operations Officer to join its inclusive and diverse Guernsey-based team. Specialising in venture capital and private client services, the firm is proud of its dynamic approach, high professional standards, and collaborative culture.

About the Role
This is a key supporting role within the Business Operations team, ensuring the smooth running of business-as-usual (BAU) processes and contributing to the successful delivery of projects and compliance activities. Working closely with colleagues, outsourced IT providers, the vCISO, and internal stakeholders, the Senior Operations Officer will help ensure effective implementation of IT, governance, information and cyber security, and data protection processes across the business.

Key Responsibilities
• Project Management – Coordinate operational projects, track progress, prepare updates for senior leadership, and provide both high-level oversight and hands-on support.
• Information Technology – Act as a main point of contact for the outsourced IT provider, with oversight of helpdesk operations as required.
• Information Security – Support the implementation of the security strategy, maintain asset and risk registers, assist with audits, and coordinate remediation activities.
• Data Protection – Assist with maintaining data protection compliance, supporting policy reviews, and managing subject access requests in collaboration with the DPR.
• Policy & Procedure Development – Contribute to the review and maintenance of operational policies to meet governance, regulatory, and business requirements.
• Operational Support – Provide administrative, logistical, and supplier relationship support to the Operations team.
• Reporting – Assist in the preparation of management information and Board updates.

Requirements
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an operational or administrative role within financial services.
• Knowledge of Guernsey legislation, GFSC requirements, and good governance practices.
• Interest or prior exposure to information/cyber security and data protection.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• IT proficiency; familiarity with systems such as Acumen, FIS Investran, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint would be beneficial.
