Our client has been trading for over 16 years and has built a stellar reputation in the Ultra Prime Residential and Hospitality sector. The company specialises in bespoke audio-visual systems, Smart home automation, Home cinemas, Lighting control, Networking and security systems.
The Senior AV Engineer role is a full-time, permanent position based in the Greater London area, with projects in the UK and international locations. The successful candidate will install, commission and support audio-visual and control systems across high-end residential, hospitality and luxury commercial environments.
The role requires strong experience within the AV and custom installation industry, with a sound working knowledge of residential AV, home cinema, home automation, multi-room AV, programmable lighting, foundation networking, CCTV, access control and integrated control systems.
Day-to-day responsibilities include site surveys, cable management, equipment installation, system configuration, testing, commissioning, diagnostics, fault finding and final sign-off. The Senior AV Engineer will also provide ongoing technical support, ensure systems perform reliably, collaborate with project managers and subcontractors, and mentor junior team members.
The successful candidate will uphold high standards of workmanship, health and safety, client care and professionalism while representing the business on client sites and in business meetings.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Experience
• Hands-on experience delivering AV installation, configuration and commissioning work across residential, hospitality or luxury commercial environments.
• Strong practical knowledge of audio-visual systems, integrated control solutions, home cinema, home automation and multi-room AV.
• Confident working with technologies such as Crestron, Control4, Lutron lighting, automation lifts and multi-room audio systems.
• Ability to install, terminate and test copper and fibre optic data cabling systems to a high standard.
• Experience installing projectors, televisions, interactive boards, AV racks and associated AV equipment.
Technical Skills
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability across AV, control, networked and automation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and site documentation.
• Good understanding of cabling standards, IP networking fundamentals and control system principles.
• Comfortable carrying out site surveys, cable management, testing, commissioning and final system sign-off.

• Clear and confident communicator, able to liaise professionally with clients, contractors, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Well organised and able to manage time, priorities and multiple live projects effectively.
• Able to take the lead on-site, maintain high standards of workmanship and support junior engineers where needed.
• Client-focused approach with a strong awareness of professionalism, health and safety and quality of service.
Qualifications and Other Requirements
• Full, valid driving license.
• Relevant technical certifications are desirable and would be highly beneficial.
