Location: Central Birmingham
Contract: Full-time, office-based (5 days/week during probation, then hybrid: 2–3 days/week in office)
Experience Required: 3+ years in a digital marketing agency managing 5–15 clients
Reports to: Head of Digital

We are seeking an experienced and results driven SEO Specialist to join this amazing digital agancy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working within a digital marketing agency environment, managing a varied portfolio of clients, and delivering measurable improvements in organic visibility, traffic, and conversions. You will play a key role in shaping and executing SEO strategies, ensuring best practice across technical, on page, and off page optimisation.

This is a collaborative and fast paced role suited to someone with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a genuine passion for helping clients grow through effective SEO.

Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy & Delivery
• Develop and implement tailored SEO strategies for 5–15 active clients across various industries.
• Perform in depth keyword research, audience analysis, and competitor benchmarking.
• Plan and execute on-page optimisation including metadata, headings, internal linking, and content recommendations.
• Oversee off page SEO activity including link-building strategies, digital PR recommendations, and outreach coordination.
Technical SEO
• Conduct technical audits (crawl issues, indexation, site speed, Core Web Vitals, schema, redirects, canonicalisation).
• Work closely with developers or client technical teams to implement fixes and improvements.
• Monitor and resolve SEO-related technical issues using Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and related tools.

Content Support
• Provide SEO content briefs and optimisation guidelines for blogs, landing pages, and campaign assets.
• Collaborate with content writers and designers to ensure SEO-led creative output.

Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare monthly performance reports, including insights, commentary, and actionable recommendations.
• Track rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and user behaviour.
• Communicate results clearly to clients during calls, meetings, or presentations.

Client Management
• Act as the SEO lead for your client portfolio, building strong and trusted relationships.
• Run client meetings, present strategy updates, and discuss results and next steps.
• Understand each client’s commercial goals and align SEO activities accordingly.

Essential Experience & Skills
• 3+ years’ experience working in a digital marketing agency delivering SEO services.
• Proven track record managing 5–15 clients concurrently with successful outcome delivery.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimisation, and off-page strategy.
• Proficiency with tools such as Google Analytics/GA4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Looker Studio.
• Experience creating clear, data driven SEO reports and communicating insights.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with a detail oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills.

Desirable Skills
• Experience with CRO principles or UX optimisation.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and Magento.
• Familiarity with digital PR processes.
• Understanding of PPC to support integrated digital strategies.

Working Pattern & Environment
• Probation period: 5 days per week in the Central Birmingham office.
