Site Engineer – Civils & Groundworks (Permanent)
Region: North West
Permanent | £45k - £50k + Package
I am currently working with my client, a well-established and highly respected contractor specialising in civil engineering, groundworks, and earthworks solutions across the UK.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured projects, my client is looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to join their delivery team on a permanent basis.

My client has built a strong reputation for delivering complex enabling works, remediation, bulk earthworks, and infrastructure packages. With in-house capabilities and a focus on safety, sustainability, and innovation, they are known for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
THE ROLE
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of civils and groundworks packages. You will be responsible for setting out, quality control, and ensuring works are delivered in line with design specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Setting out for earthworks, drainage, and groundworks packages
• Interpreting and working from technical drawings
• Carrying out surveys and volume calculations
• Ensuring works are delivered in line with QA procedures
• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and management
• Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information
• Supporting project delivery to programme and budget
REQUIREMENTS
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer within civils and groundworks
• Strong background in earthworks projects
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Experience using LSS (Leica/Trimble systems or similar)
• Strong understanding of setting out and surveying techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving license
