Site Manager – Large-Scale Refurbishment | Immediate Start | Van Provided
We are currently looking for an experienced and confident Site Manager to join a major large-scale refurbishment project on an immediate start basis.
This is a hands-on, site-based management role where you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, managing subcontractors and site teams, coordinating works and ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
We are looking for someone with a strong personality, excellent communication skills and the confidence to take control of a busy site. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale refurbishment projects and a strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and how buildings are constructed.
Requirements
- Valid SMSTS qualification – essential
- Valid First Aid qualification
- Valid Fire Marshal qualification
- Proven experience working as a Site Manager within the construction industry
- Extensive experience managing large-scale refurbishment projects – essential
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and building processes
- Ability to confidently read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong knowledge of site procedures, health & safety and construction regulations
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate subcontractors, trades and site teams
- Strong leadership skills and the personality to take control of the site
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities simultaneously
- Strong understanding of programme, progress and sequencing
- Ability to identify issues, coordinate solutions and keep works on programme
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
- Ability to liaise effectively with Senior Management, subcontractors, clients and other site stakeholders
- Any additional relevant construction qualifications are desirable

You must have a proven background in large-scale refurbishment, a strong understanding of construction processes from start to finish and the ability to confidently manage subcontractors, site teams and programme requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while maintaining programme and quality requirements across the project.
You will need to be a confident leader who is comfortable taking control on site, making decisions and resolving issues as they arise.
