Slinger / Signaller – Brighton
Location: Brighton, East Sussex
Start Date: 24th July
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Maximus Solutions are looking for an experienced and reliable Slinger / Signaller to join our team on a construction project in Brighton. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring lifting operations are carried out safely and efficiently, working closely with crane operators, site management, and lifting teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely sling and direct loads during lifting operations.
- Communicate clearly with crane operators using recognised hand signals and radio communication.
- Inspect lifting accessories before use and report any defects.
- Ensure all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with lifting plans and site procedures.
- Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with general lifting and site duties as required.
- Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining high safety standards.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- CPCS Slinger/Signaller card or NPORS Slinger/Signaller qualification (with CSCS logo where applicable).
- Valid CSCS card (if not included with NPORS).
- Good understanding of safe lifting practices and current health and safety regulations.
- Previous experience working as a Slinger / Signaller on construction sites.
- Ability to communicate effectively with crane operators and site personnel.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Desirable
- Experience working on large commercial or civil engineering projects.
- Banksman or Vehicle Marshal experience.
