Special Needs Teaching Assistant/ School Support Worker – Coventry
Location: Coventry, Warwickshire
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day /£445- £525 per week
Axcis Education is currently recruiting for passionate and dedicated special needs teaching assistants (SEN TAs) to work in a range of fantastic SEND and mainstream schools across Coventry and Warwickshire

The Role:
You will:
• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with a variety of special educational needs, including autism (ASD/ASC) , ADHD, severe learning difficulties (SLD).
• Support children with speech and language difficulties (SLCN), this could be via PECS, Makaton, British Sign Language (BSL) etc
• Work alongside teachers, support staff and SENCOs to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
• Support students in achieving their academic and personal development goals.
• Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Provide personal care if required
About You:
• Experience working with children or adults with additional needs or care experience
• A calm, patient, and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) are an advantage but not a requirement.
• Understand the commitment required to support a special needs student
