Sports Coach – SEN School (Wirral)
Axcis Education are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Sports Coach to work within a supportive SEN school based on the Wirral.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, delivering engaging physical education and sports sessions to pupils with additional needs.
The Role:
Deliver structured and inclusive sports sessions to pupils with Special Educational Needs
Support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and challenging behaviours
Promote teamwork, confidence, and positive behaviour through sport
Work closely with teaching staff and support teams to ensure pupils are fully engaged and supported
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN
Confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
Team Teach training (desirable)
Passionate about sport, inclusion, and making a positive impact
Patient, resilient, and proactive approach

What we need from you:
At least 6 months personal or professional experience supporting adults or children with special educational needs.??
OR?
A certified qualification in a relevant area- education, psychology, drama etc?
A graduate teaching assistant with a patient, compassionate and positive attitude.?
Flexibility to work in school hours- contracts are usually 8:30am until 3-4:30pm Depending on the schools’ requirements??
Ability to reliably commute to settings either by driving or public transport
