This is a rewarding and varied role ideal for someone who thrives in a team setting, takes initiative, and is passionate about making a real impact on the lives of children. Every day brings fresh opportunities to support pupils’ independence, development, and well-being in a warm, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils with diverse and complex SEN needs in both 1:1 and small-group settings.

Support pupils during weekly swimming sessions; some staff are required to stand in waist-high water to assist.

Respond calmly and appropriately to challenging behaviours.

Promote pupil independence and self-confidence through a nurturing and empathetic approach.

Work closely within a large, collaborative team where shared support and communication are essential.

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience supporting SEN pupils, ideally within Key Stage 1.

Understanding of a range of SEN and the ability to adapt support to individual pupil needs.

Ability to stay calm, think on one’s feet, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Strong team ethic and a willingness to support colleagues as well as pupils.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (mandatory).

What’s on Offer:

13 weeks of school holiday per year.

Free access to the AXCIS Academy for continued professional development across a wide range of SEN areas.

Free onsite parking.

A diverse and welcoming staff team that believes in a true team effort and supports each other daily.

A fun, energetic, and rewarding work environment where no two days are the same.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a dedicated and empathetic individual looking to grow their experience and be part of a passionate team that truly makes a difference.
