Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We are seeking compassionate, resilient, and committed SEMH Teaching Assistants to join an independent special school in Crosby from February. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils aged 8–16 within a calm, nurturing environment that prioritises emotional wellbeing, confidence-building, and meaningful re-engagement with learning.

About the Role

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support, responding to each pupil’s individual emotional and learning needs
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to deliver inclusive, therapeutic learning experiences
• Build strong, trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, understood, and valued
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour using trauma-informed, relationship-based approaches
• Encourage independence, engagement, and personal growth through consistent, empowering support
