A warm and inclusive primary school in the L30 area is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team this September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils across EYFS to KS2, many of whom have complex needs such as non-verbal communication, sensory processing challenges, and social-emotional difficulties.
About the Role
As part of the school’s inclusive SEN provision, you will play a vital role in helping children succeed academically and personally.
Every day, you’ll be helping pupils to grow in confidence, communication, and independence.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
• Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and learning activities
• Encouraging independence, social interaction, and self-esteem
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes
What We’re Looking For
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in school or care settings)
• Confidence working across EYFS to KS2
• A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply — support provided)
• A calm, patient, and adaptable approach with a genuine passion for inclusive education
