We are seeking compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants to join an independent special school in Crosby this September. The school supports pupils aged 8–16, providing a safe, nurturing environment where young people can rebuild confidence, develop resilience, and engage with meaningful learning tailored to their needs.
About the Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils’ individual needs
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to deliver inclusive and therapeutic learning experiences
Build positive, trusting relationships that help students feel safe, valued, and understood
Support emotional regulation and behaviour management through strategies that promote self-awareness, resilience, and respectful interactions
