Axcis Education is working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in central Bristol to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant to start in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with special educational needs, specifically ADHD and autism, in one of the largest and most diverse primary schools in the city.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant in this setting, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEND, fostering both academic and personal development
• Assist with the delivery of engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to individual learning needs
• Help children develop positive attitudes to learning and realise their full potential
• Promote independence and social interaction in line with the school’s ethos of kindness, respect, and ambition
• Work collaboratively with a dedicated and supportive team of staff in a vibrant, welcoming school community
The Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking someone who:
• Has experience supporting children with ADHD, autism, or other SEND in a primary school setting
• Is patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about making a difference in children’s lives
• Can adapt to the needs of individual pupils and support them in accessing learning
• Holds relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) or has equivalent experience
