Are you currently working in care and looking for a fresh, rewarding challenge?
Your skills are highly transferable—and this could be the perfect opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school setting.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals from the care sector to work as Teaching Assistants across primary and secondary schools in the WA9 area. You’ll support pupils with ASD, PMLD, and complex needs, helping them thrive both academically and personally.
Your Role
In this position, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual student needs
• Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Support students with daily routines, personal care, and mobility (where required)
• Help develop key life skills such as communication, independence, and emotional regulation
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement personalised learning plans
• Monitor progress and contribute to a holistic approach to student development
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you:
• Have experience in a care, support, or youth work setting
• Are confident supporting individuals with additional needs and personal care
• Hold a Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service (or are willing to obtain one)
• Have a basic understanding of Autism and complex learning needs (desirable)
• Are patient, empathetic, and resilient
• Can build strong relationships and communicate effectively
• Are adaptable and thrive in a dynamic environment
• Are committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing
