Make a Real Impact Where It Matters Most

Are you passionate about supporting young people through the challenges of secondary school?

Do you want to play a key role in helping students build confidence, overcome barriers, and achieve their full potential?

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the L30 area, looking to appoint a committed SEN Teaching Assistant from April 2026 (after the Easter break).

This is a fantastic opportunity to support students during a crucial stage of their education — helping them succeed both academically and personally within a supportive school environment.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND
• Adapt and scaffold learning to ensure full access to the secondary curriculum
• Support students with literacy, numeracy, and classroom engagement
• Promote confidence, independence, and positive social interaction
• Work closely with teaching staff to create an inclusive and structured learning environment
• Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP targets and reviews
• Support emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and safeguarding at all times

This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a visible difference every day, supporting students to grow in resilience and self-belief.

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from individuals who:

• Have experience supporting young people with SEND (secondary experience desirable)
• Are calm, patient, and adaptable in a busy school setting
• Can build strong, positive relationships with students and staff
• Are confident supporting core subjects and engagement in lessons
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding and student welfare
• Bring energy, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed

Why This Role Stands Out

• Join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school
• Excellent transport links across the L30 area
• Be part of a collaborative and experienced staff team
• Access to ongoing training and professional development
• A rewarding role where your impact is seen and valued every day

Why Join This School?

This isn’t just another classroom support role — it’s a chance to help shape futures. You’ll be supporting students at a key point in their lives, helping them overcome challenges, believe in themselves, and achieve success.
