Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support – KS1)
Full-Time | From £89 per day (dependent on experience)
Location: LS13 (Leeds)
Are you passionate about making a real difference in a child’s life? Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in Key Stage 1, supporting their learning and development in a nurturing primary school environment.
The Role:
• Provide tailored support to a KS1 child with specific learning or behavioural needs
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies
• Support the child’s academic progress, social development, and emotional wellbeing
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to school staff and agency coordinators
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience working with children, ideally in an educational or SEN setting
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to support individual needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. TA Level 2/3, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
Key Details:
• Full-time, Monday to Friday during term time
• Competitive daily rate starting from £89 per day, depending on experience
• Long-term placement via agency, with opportunities for further training and development
• An enhanced DBS check (Child and Adult Workforce) on the Update Service is required for this role
