Axcis Education are looking for a teaching assistant to be based in a primary school based in South Birmingham.
The school is based in Kings Norton and caters for students aged 4 to 11 years and is well-accessible via public transport as well as by car with on-site parking available. This vibrant team are looking for another dedicated a teaching assistant to join their growing team on a long-term basis due to having new pupil with SEND starting very soon. The appointed teaching assistant will mainly support in KS1, working with students who have additional needs and challenging behaviours. This is a long-term role with a view to becoming permanent.
The role will require you to work on a 1:1 and small group basis, with students who have additional needs and challenging behaviours. This position needs to be filled ASAP therefore the successful candidate will be required to start work on a full-time basis imminently, working 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. As previously mentioned the role will be on a ongoing basis going through to the end of this summer term and picking up again in September, with a view to moving onto a permanent contract with the school during the autumn term.
The candidate must have experience supporting children with special educational needs and challenging behaviours on a professional or personal basis.
Qualifications and school/classroom experience is not essential but would be a big advantage.
