Teaching Assistant – Primary School (SEND)
Location: OL2
Employer: Axcis Education
Pay: From £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Agency, term-time only
Axcis Education are currently seeking a teaching assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and making a positive impact on their learning and development.
The school is small but well-resourced, with a warm and friendly atmosphere that is evident as soon as you enter the grounds. Staff work closely together to create a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is supported to thrive.
As a teaching assistant, you will:
• Support a small group of pupils within a primary setting
• Work with children who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
• Assist the class teacher with learning activities and behaviour support
• Help pupils access the curriculum while building confidence and independence
• Contribute to a calm, positive, and encouraging learning environment
Requirements:
• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
• A genuine interest in supporting children with SEND
• Limited experience considered for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
• Reliability and a proactive mindset
