The school supports pupils aged 4–14 with a diverse range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome and complex learning and medical needs. The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide personalised support to help pupils access learning, develop essential life skills and achieve their individual goals in a safe, nurturing environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual learning needs
• Supporting pupils both in the classroom and throughout the wider school environment
• Delivering personalised learning activities and interventions under the guidance of teaching and specialist staff
• Encouraging communication, emotional regulation, independence and positive social interaction
• Adapting learning resources and teaching approaches to meet individual needs
• Supporting pupils with sensory, physical or personal care needs where required
• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for every pupil

• Are passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND
• Have experience working with children or vulnerable individuals in education, care, childcare, youth work or similar settings (desirable but not essential)
