A welcoming and well-established specialist SEN school in the L32 area is looking to appoint caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their team for the September 2026 academic year.

Supporting pupils across both primary and secondary age groups, you'll work with children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils access learning and achieve their individual goals
• Support pupils across classroom, practical and creative learning activities
• Encourage communication, confidence, independence and positive social interactions
• Assist with emotional regulation, sensory needs and personal care where required
• Help create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment where every pupil can thrive
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other specialist professionals to deliver personalised support and outstanding outcomes

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates who have experience in:

• Education, schools, nurseries or childcare settings
• Youth work, mentoring or sports coaching
• Health and social care
• Residential or community support
• Supporting children or adults with additional needs, either professionally or personally

You'll also be:

• Patient, compassionate and nurturing
• Resilient, adaptable and able to remain calm under pressure
• A confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
• Passionate about inclusive education and helping every pupil succeed
