Location: Cranbrook
Hours: Full-time (Monday – Friday)
Working Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:15 PM
Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Setting: Specialist school for students aged 11-18 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Student Needs: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), SEMH, Challenging Behaviour
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Cranbrook. The school provides a structured, nurturing environment for students with ASD, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
Your Role:
Support students with ASD in both classroom and social settings.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging, structured lessons tailored to individual needs.
Encourage independence, communication, and social development.
Support students with challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies.
Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement EHCPs and individual learning plans.
Who We’re Looking For:
Experience working with students with ASD is highly desirable.
Knowledge of SEMH needs and strategies for managing challenging behaviour.
Patient, calm, and empathetic approach.
Ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and colleagues.
A commitment to making a meaningful difference in students’ lives.
