SEN Teaching Assistant – High School (L36)
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs? A vibrant high school in L36 is looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide vital support to students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours.
Position Details:
- Location: L36
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Salary: Starting daily salary from £90 (PAYE)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract: Full-time, long-term
Your Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH and behavioural needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Support students in developing emotional regulation, social skills, and positive behaviours.
- Use behaviour management strategies to foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to monitor and support student progress.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with SEMH, autism, or challenging behaviour in a school or similar setting.
- The ability to remain calm, patient, and proactive in managing student behaviour.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to supporting student well-being.
- A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply with support).
