Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Frome, Somerset
Hours: Full-Time, 8.30am – 3.30pm
Salary: £90 - £95 per day

As a specialised Teaching Assistant, you'll be working within a dynamic and supportive educational environment. You will play a crucial role in the development and education of students with additional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the classroom teacher and SENCO.
- Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom, enabling them to fully participate in activities.
- Work with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, as necessary.
- Prepare learning materials under the supervision of the teacher.
- Manage pupil behaviour and support students in overcoming their barriers to learning.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Support the teacher in managing class behaviour.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for pupils at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEND and SEMH.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable manner to cater to the needs of individual children.
- Strong communication and team working skills.
- A minimum of Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred but not essential.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
