Teaching Assistant
Shaftesbury
Pay: £90–£95/day PAYE
Hours: 08:30–15:30, Monday–Friday, Term Time
Axcis Education is recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to support students with SEND in a primary school in Shaftesbury. This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone passionate about helping children access learning, develop confidence, and thrive academically and socially.
Role responsibilities:
• Support students with SEND across the classroom and school day
• Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and behaviour strategies
• Encourage social, emotional, and independent learning skills
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
• Work closely with teachers and the wider school team to promote consistent support
Requirements:
• Professional or personal experience supporting SEND or students is desirable
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
