Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Pay: £95–£100 per day PAYE

Axcis Education is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Shaftesbury. This Teaching Assistant opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting children across the primary age range and is passionate about helping every pupil achieve their full potential.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support learning across the classroom. The successful Teaching Assistant will assist all pupils while also providing additional support for children with SEND, helping to create an engaging and accessible learning environment where every child can thrive.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
• Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging classroom activities
• Working with pupils individually, in small groups, and as part of whole-class learning
• Providing additional support for pupils with SEND when required
• Encouraging participation, confidence, and independence in learning
• Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum-based activities
• Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
The Ideal Teaching Assistant:
• Has experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children in an educational setting
• Demonstrates a patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach
• Is confident supporting pupils with a range of learning needs
• Has strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enjoys helping children develop both academically and socially
• Is committed to creating a positive learning experience for every pupil
