Description
We are seeking a resilient and committed Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in the Chingford area E4, supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs) and challenging behaviour.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone confident in building positive relationships, setting clear boundaries, and supporting students to re-engage with learning.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
Start: ASAP
Full-time position
The role includes:
-Supporting students on a one-to-one and small group basis
-Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour
-Promoting emotional regulation and positive engagement
-Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
We are looking for someone who:
-Has experience with SEMH and challenging behaviour
-Is calm, patient, and firm but fair
-Can build trust and act as a positive role model
-Is committed to making a real difference
