Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Primary Complex SEND Needs)

Salary: From £92.63 per day (PAYE)

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in Islington. This role involves working with both primary aged pupils with complex SEND needs, providing tailored support to help each student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with complex SEND across primary and secondary age groups
• Support students’ learning, emotional regulation, and social development
• Assist with personal care, ensuring students’ dignity, comfort, and wellbeing are always maintained
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider staff to implement individualised learning plans
• Adapt resources and learning activities to meet diverse needs
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly complex needs
• A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach
• Comfortable supporting personal care needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
