We're recruiting SEMH Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming independent specialist school in Crosby for a September 2026 start. This is an excellent opportunity to work with pupils aged 8–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them thrive in a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment.
The Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to meet individual learning and emotional needs
• Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage confidence and resilience
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Encourage independence, engagement and personal development both inside and outside the classroom
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to achieve the best outcomes for every pupil

We're keen to hear from candidates who:
• Have experience working with children or young people with SEMH, autism, ADHD, behavioural needs or other additional needs
• Are calm, patient, resilient and able to remain positive in challenging situations
• Can build strong professional relationships and provide consistent support
• Are passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of young people
